G-Dragon’s concert in Malaysia was a success!! The 2 hours show – G-DRAGON 2013 WORLD TOUR: ONE OF A KIND CONCERT IN MALAYSIA ended just hours ago at Bukit Jalil National Stadium. The sophisticated stage setting with various arrangements to bring forward a spectacular visual experience for the fans in the concert had me impressed inside out. Lighting and sound was great and there it was a concert with near zero technical errors.
GD finally brought his special brand of ‘swag’ to the stage at Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil,If you had been to the Big Bang concert last year, then you would probably know what to expect from a GD concert as the set included a full set of dancers, pyrotechnics, impressive stage props and an accompanying live band. To further boost the star power, GD enlisted the help of fellow Big Bang member Taeyang to act as special guest for this leg of the OOAK tour too.
The show kicked off around 8.15pm when a special introductory video was screened before the curtains dropped to reveal GD sitting in a fitted-out glass sports car and decked out in a black and white ensemble, singing his latest single MichiGo.
He went on to his other single One Of A Kind and even treated us to some of his solo efforts with his label mates,their presence came in the form of giant portable LCD screens that projected them as if they were standing next to GD in person!
Some of the highlights of the performance included giant butterflies that flitted around the elevated stage as GD performed one of his older tracks, Butterfly, and a giant DJ mixing set that was fitted with gold studs that appeared with GD mixing the beats himself for the track Today. GD then got on his Segway to ride around the stage greeting the audience from all corners of his set.
Halfway through, Taeyang came on to perform his solo hits Where U At and Breakdown and got the audience smiling when he cajoled fans into singing along to his harmonies. Another highlight was when GD decided to scale the stage platforms for the performance of Obsession which ended with a female dancer suspended in mid-air reminiscent of a Cirque de Soleil performance.
the stage really went ‘cray’ for the track ‘Crayon’ that had giant crayons projected onscreen while GD’s dancers were dressed in an array of colourful costumes with pyrotechnics and confetti bursting from the stage to really give the atmosphere of a giant crazy party.
GD then came back for an encore performing some Big Bang hits, namely Fantastic Baby which was mixed with his hit Crayon and Bad Boy which brought Taeyang back onstage.
By the end of the night, there were really no words to describe the energy which kept getting higher and higher throughout and fans from the very young to parents accompanying their children were all up on their feet feeling the swag from the one and only swag-master, G-dragon.
When Taeyang came out on stage, fans were obviously ecstatic screaming out loud but his performance didn’t steal GD’s show where GD was the main character of the night.Apart from the short thank you speech above, GD also mentioned that his solo album will be realeased this August. GD then went on introducing his band, thanking them and the dance crews. That’s it, my Saturday night was filled with fast tracks and strong beats performed by one of the most exciting Kpop artistes G DRAGON.
Trust me, you’d be very impressed on how they set up the stage and stage lighting totally liven up the mood for the night. T-shape stage that certainly helps in maximising the interaction level between GD and fans in various angles.

The whole stadium not just immediately turned into yellow ocean but filled with fans’ voices that singing along with G-Dragon too.And of course, he performed the song that totally resembles himself as an artist – One Of A Kind. everyone were amazed on how the pre-recorded clip of Tablo as if he were there too!
He also mesmerised all the fans with his song – Obsession – great performance. It was way too beautiful with all the expressions and dramatic flow that somehow made everyone fell in love deeper again.
The moment G-Dragon introduced his guest artist for the night – Taeyang – all the fans lifted up yellow balloons to greet Taeyang too! Fans always have their own unique way to welcome and cheer their biases.
They GOT IT RIGHT! A pre-recorded clip of G-Dragon showed up and that was really really adorable one on how it really interacted with the fans. Tadaa! The real G-Dragon appeared on stage and performed encore song – Breathe – that again made all the fans started to scream all their heart out!
G-Dragon is the leader of world famous K-pop group Big Bang. He was popularly,known for his unique fashion sense, talents and swag! If Lady Gaga was known forher bravery in fashion, G-Dragon too, created his own “G-style” unique fashion sense as the fashion icon of K-pop.
